The Gnomes fought bravely, but their city was destroyed and half of their population lost. Those who remained fled to the Dwarven city of Ironforge for safety. Now they aid the Alliance, and are developing new strategies and weapons to retake their lost home city.

The playable race known as Humans are from Stormwind. They are the very same Humans that survived the invasion of the Orcs during the First War. In the aftermath of the successful Second War, Stormwind began to flourish once again throughout the south.
